A common question we receive at Northwest Children's Dentistry, “When should I start bringing my child to the dentist for a checkup?”
A first visit to our office should be viewed as a well-child check for your child's teeth. While we will examine your child's teeth and gums, we will also review with you the benefits of proper oral hygiene habits. Our goal is to provide you with strategies for prevention of potential dental issues such as tooth decay.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children should visit a dentist by their first birthday. Examining children at this young age gives our pediatric dentists, Drs. Norman Bunch and Jennifer Marshall, and their staff, the opportunity to meet you and your child to provide prevention strategies and discuss questions/concerns you may have about your child's dental well-being.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment at our convenient Tucson office, please contact Northwest Children's Dentistry.
